I found the insights from the book profoundly impactful. It helped me address and cope with my childhood struggles.

This book not only provided guidance but also a sense of being understood. A much-needed resource.

I am Nancy Cotterman. I have had CRPS for since 1996. I am a former nurse. This will give you perspective about my opinion of this book. Julie is an amazing woman. She has been through so much mental anguish in her short life and so much physical pain. To get CRPS as a child is beyond difficult. Your childhood is robbed from you. You have to deal with adult health issues. To be abused as a child also robs you of your childhood and forces you to be an adult too soon, You combine the two and it is amazing that Julie is a wonderful woman, in a healthy relationship with her husband, active in the CRPS community and willing to share her story with anyone who needs to read it. Julie’s ability to forgive her mom, her father and more importantly herself is also amazing. Julie has learned an important lesson. We forgive others to heal ourselves. Forgiveness is not for the person we are forgiving. Forgiving is peace for yourself. Julie was forced onto a path that was destructive and yet here she is today helping others with similar childhoods. She is helping the people who were abused as a child. Julie is also helping people who were diagnosed with serious illnesses as a child. I admire her strength and resilience.
